Last Man Up

About

Last Man Up Inc is an Indiana nonprofit corporation, founded in 2025, building a program for veterans living with PTSD.

Jonathan Arvay

Jonathan Arvay served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2014. He deployed to Iraq twice — fifteen months in 2007 and 2008, and again in 2010 and 2011. He is rated 100% disabled by the VA.

He is not a clinician and does not claim to be. What he has is the thing no credential confers: he has been where the men this program is for are standing now, and he spent years trying the available options before concluding that something was missing rather than that he was.

He is building the program he needed.

Arvay lives in Valparaiso, Indiana, where he homeschools his daughter. The rest of his working life is spent building payment verification infrastructure — systems whose entire purpose is proving that something really happened. That both halves of his work turn on the question of trust is not lost on him.

Leadership

Jonathan Arvay founded Last Man Up Inc in 2025 and directs it. His own site, jonathanarvay.com, describes him and the technology companies whose work funds this organization. Clinical leadership will be named here, with credentials, before the first cohort departs.

The name

The last man up is the one who gets back on his feet. Not the last one standing — the last one up. Nobody stays down.

How the work is funded

Last Man Up Inc owns three technology companies — X AXIS LLC, Y AXIS LLC, and Z AXIS LLC — building payment infrastructure, agent tooling, and 3D asset systems. They exist to fund this mission rather than the other way around.

The reasoning is straightforward. A veterans program dependent entirely on the next grant cycle is a program that ends when the grant does. Arvay would rather own the engine than apply for fuel.

Commitments
